I just had a bottle of gumball head that I was sent and would like to try brew up something similar. From some quick research it looks like 52% Wheat (red)43% 2-row5% AromaticI have seen conflicting information on hops. Some say all Amarillo and some say Amarillo, Warrior and Simcoe. I am thinking of going all Amarillo to about 30 IBU with a nice late charge. Anybody have a good recipe?

there may be one posted up on this site. I can't recall. if you can't find it I'm sure I can find mine. I Use all Amarillo and will also do an all Citra version. not sure if you can get a straight answer out of anyone at 3F's or not but you can always ask.

Did the Citra version of this on Sunday. 10g split between 1056 and S-05. So far it smells great. I did sub out regular white wheat instead of the red wheat though, had to use what I had on hand.

Hey Drez please let us know how this Citra version comes out. I keep an Amarillo version on tap all the time. The only change I've made is I replaced the 60 min Amarillo with Centennial. *Beach Ball* is a highly requested beer and the g/f loves it with fresh pineapple and madarin orange tossed in. I don't go for fruit in my beer, but I'll have to admit it works well.Good luck with the brew.Beach

I going to have a go at this. No Warrior on hand so I'm bittering with Apollo. Most of the flavor hops in the whirlpool and dry hop. Went with the aromatic instead of the caravienne as aromatic is apparently what 3F's uses.

Made this a week ago. I decided to mash this one a little hot @156F to see where this comes out. Dry hopped today with 1.5oz Amarillo and .5oz Simcoe. Should get crashed and kegged by the end of the week.

Wow is this good. Nice apricot and grapefruit from the Amarillo in a very deep yellow and completely opaque beer that screams summer wheat.  And its the perfect late summer beer for the heat we are getting right now. This will become a staple around here.
